VBA – Len String


The Len function in VBA determines the length of a specified string. It counts the total number of characters within the string, including spaces, punctuation, and any other characters.

Syntax:

Len(string)

Parameter:

  • string: The string for which you want to determine the length.


Return Value:

  • Integer: Returns the number of characters in the specified string.

Example

				
					Dim str1 As String
Dim strLength As Integer

str1 = "Hello, World!"
strLength = Len(str1) 

' strLength will be 13
